Jul 29, 2010 -- 7:37am

Once upon a time, a Prince asked a beautiful Princess... “Will you marry me?”
The Princess said “NO!”
And the Prince lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and went fishing and hunting and played golf and dated women half his age and watched all the football and baseball games on t.v he liked and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up .

Up Your Nose?
Jul 23, 2010 -- 2:45pmNO! Up MY nose! Maybe I'm different...some would even call me special. Whatever. I LOVE taking pictures up my nose. I don't know why...I just do it almost every time I'm holding a camera. It makes no sense and certainly isn't a flattering pose. I think it's mostly because Lisa HATES it SO much. Thus, I will continue. Here are a few up-nose shots from over the years. Enjoy!

The birdman is BACK baby!
Jul 07, 2010 -- 7:21amI love my girl's family. They're all very cool and have been nice to me from day one. But I'm starting to think that I like one of them more than the rest...the birdman! He's always entertaining. He brought a bird to Thanksgiving that pooped on his shirt. He's always very chilled out and in a good mood. And this past weekend, he showed us all his "sail-board" and gave us a demo. Freaking awesome! Love the birdman...
Kellie Pickler is engaged
Jun 23, 2010 -- 9:56amI'm happy for Kellie Pickler. She's getting married. That's all I'm gonna say...

What will she do now?
Jun 21, 2010 -- 7:30amIt's a sad morning as I just read the news...
Amanda Bynes won't be coming soon to a theater near you. She's retiring from acting at the ripe old age of 24. She tweeted the news over the weekend: "Being an actress isn't as fun as it may seem. If I don't love something anymore, I stop doing it. I don't love acting anymore, so I've stopped doing it." Amanda was last seen in the 2007 movie Sydney White.
It's not that I will miss her acting skills. Honestly I can't name one movie she's ever been in. But not being an actress means less photographs of Amanda Bynes. And THAT is very sad...

OH NO!
Jun 15, 2010 -- 8:30amI am very upset this morning. My Mom sent me an email with the below video. About 20 minutes north of Cincinnati, OH is a small town called Monroe. I lived in Monroe for about a year about 3 years ago. The town doesn't have much. A few gas stations. A lot of farms. And one HUGE Jesus. The folks up there call it "Touchdown Jesus". It's 62 feet high and sits on a lake in front of The Solid Rock Church visible from I-75. My Aunt Rita goes to church there. And now, Touchdown Jesus is no more.
Apparently they are already working to repair TD Jesus. The church may have been named "solid rock", but TD Jesus was made of styrofoam and wood. This is a sad day for me. But hopefully it can be rebuilt...with flame-retardent materials! Here is what it looked like before...

Fish Tacos
May 27, 2010 -- 6:48amI went fishing last night with my buddy Fred Williams from The Backyard Outlet (shameless plug cuz I like Fred). We cruised out into the gulf and did some trolling for kingfish. It was A LOT of fun. I'm not a big "fishing guy"...but after last night's trip, I may become a big fishing guy. We caught three medium sized kingfish. Fred told me they great for fish tacos...can't wait to find out. Daddy like fish tacos.

Apr 16, 2010 -- 1:43pmDespite the shirtless dude mid-way thru this video, I'm voting for Gloriana for top new country act in this Sunday night's ACM Awards for three reasons...
1) They used Kellie Pickler in this video and she's VERY funny. 2) Rachel of Gloriana. 3) Cheyenne of Gloriana.
Beach lobster
Apr 06, 2010 -- 11:56amMy BEAUTIFUL woman and I spent 4 hours at the beach on Easter Sunday. It was a great time. Here's a view of my feet and the Destin harbor...

And after 4 hours at the beach...here's a picture of my woman that night...

Bananas!
Mar 24, 2010 -- 11:26amWe all know the one food in the world that I love the most...BANANAS! Not only is it the only food word that can be used by itself to describe something being awesome ("That party was bananas!"), but they are delicious and good for you. A few months back, my Mom sent me an email about bananas. I read it on the air and we got SO many calls from people asking us to put it on the website. We did. Then we changed websites. So my Mom sent it again today and since I STILL love bananas, here it is...
A professor at CCNY for a physiological psych class told his class
about bananas. He said the expression "going bananas" is from the
effects of bananas on the brain. Read on:

Bananas contain three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy.
Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes.
But energy isn't the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.
Depression: According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana.
This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.
PMS: Forget the pills - eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains
regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.
Anemia : High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of
hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia.
Blood Pressure: This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.
Brain Power: 200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school ( England ) were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.
Constipation: High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help
restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.
Hangovers: One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.
Heartburn: Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief.
Morning Sickness: Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness
Mosquito bites: Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing
the affected area with the inside of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.
Nerves: Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.
Overweight and at work? Studies at the Institute of Psychology in
Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like
chocolate and chips.. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers
found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady..
Ulcers: The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal
disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.
Temperature control: Many other cultures see bananas as a "cooling" fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Thailand , for example, pregnant women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.
Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD): Bananas can help SAD sufferers because they contain the natural mood enhancer tryptophan.
Smoking &Tobacco Use: Bananas can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.
Stress: Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the
heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body's water
balance.. When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby
reducing our potassium levels. These can be rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium banana snack.
Strokes: According to research in The New England Journal of Medicine, eating bananas as part of a regular diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by as much as 40%!
Warts: Those keen on natural alternatives swear that if you want to kill off a wart, take a piece of banana skin and place it on the wart, with the yellow side out. Carefully hold the skin in place with a plaster or surgical tape!
So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrate, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, "A banana a day keeps the doctor away!"
Bananas must be the reason monkeys are so happy all the time! I will add one here; want a quick shine on our shoes?? Take the INSIDE of the banana skin, and rub directly on the shoe...polish with dry cloth.
Amazing fruit !!!
Be Inspired!
Mar 23, 2010 -- 7:48amLately I've been lying in bed at night looking for some motovation for the day to come. Last night I found it in the form of The Top Gun Theme. How can you not be inspired when you hear this? If I won the lottery, I would hire a dude at 75K per year to follow me around Monday thru Friday with a boombox playing this song every time I enter a new room. People would be super impressed with me. They would be like "who is THAT guy!? He's awesome!".
Poor Fatty...
Mar 19, 2010 -- 9:20amThis fat kid CANNOT get out of this skateboard bowl. Why did he go in there in the first place? Why doesn't he give a better effort? Why does he not wear a belt? I dunno the answer to any of those questions. But i do know that this is 4 minutes of better reality than anything on tv...
Finally!
Mar 12, 2010 -- 7:16amI have found someone WAY worse than me at singing! Busted!
I'm bringing it back...
Mar 09, 2010 -- 8:34amI miss Crystal Pepsi. I'm not saying I really enjoyed the tatse. In fact, it was NOT good. But it was clear! And it was Pepsi! And at the time it came out I thought it was the coolest thing EVER! Then again, I was like 11 years old and anything new was cool to me. But to this day I'm trying to bring it back.
A few weeks ago we met some friends at McGuires for dinner. I'd been in there 100 times and never did the whole write on a dollar thing. But my love and desire to bring back Crystal Pepsi overtook me...

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone.
Mar 02, 2010 -- 1:00pmMy woman went to stay with her mom in P'Cola for a night to do some wedding stuff (flowers, dresses, food, etc). I'll just get to the point here right away...it sucks. The house feels empty. The food doesn't taste right. Everything on tv is horrible. AND THIS IS JUST ONE NIGHT! Please keep in mind I haven't been apart from this beautiful woman for more than like 8 hours for many, many months. The dogs keep standing by the door looking for her. I can't stop wagging my tail, barking and scratching myself...I mean THE DOGS can't stop doing that stuff. They just keep following me around wondering where she is. It looks a lot like this...

As I said on the air this morning (and on Facebook (for you Facebook junkies)) I don't know how you military spouses do it. You're toughing it out for weeks/months at a time. And for that you have my deepest respect. Look at me after just one night! I'm a mess. I'm ready to start sitting in the rain, drinking coffee and listening to Bill Withers...
By the way...this song has always come off to me that would be a great country remake. I think it could be a MAJOR hit for the right person. I just don't know who could pull it off. Perhaps Billy Currington?
My apendix looks weird...
Feb 22, 2010 -- 4:22pmAs many of you may have heard...I no longer have an apendix. I don't miss it. It's completely useless. Actually, it's only function is to harm you. Why don't they just take these things out when you're born?!? Anyway...back at the begining of February (right after our Cumulus Vs. The Cops II Basketball Game) I was in SOOOOOO much pain. It wouldn't go away so finally I went to the doctor. Good thing I did. That bad boy was about to blow! These days they do the surgery "laparoscopically" (had to use spell check on that one). They went in through my side with a camera. Then they pulled the apendix out of my belly button...glad I was asleep for that. Then they give you this picture of your insides. It's kinda weird. Check it out...

As you can see...my apendix had turned into some type of turtle like creature. My gall bladder looks like a giant pimple...and the biggest shocker of all...THE DOCTOR SAID MY LIVER WAS PERFECT! I know! And of course, my brain doesn't look so good. No surprise there...
We are very lucky!
Jan 28, 2010 -- 8:52amWe live in the greatest place in the entire world. We have a small town feel with all the amenities of a large city. We have the most beautiful beaches in the world. We have an endless selection of great places to eat. We have a great community of people who are always willing to give their time to charity. We have the best Air Forces bases in the country filled the bravest men and women in the world. We are very lucky!

We are also lucky to have a great local news team. WEAR-TV, our news partener here at The Wolf, is a fantastic news source. And now it's even better. Sure, we've alwways loved Jared Willits, Christian Garman, Sue Straughn and the rest of the crew. They're great. And now, channel 3 is even better!

These two have been a part of the channel 3 morning news team for a few months now, but let me officially welcome them to the emerald coast. Bree Sisson and Jaimee Lee are fantastic additions to WEAR. However they make it EXTREMELY difficult for me to do the morning show. We always keep our TV in the studio on channel 3 in the morning and sometimes I find myself gazing at the TV and forgetting what I was talking about. So if you're listening between 6 and 7am and I start trailing off or telling stories that have no point...you have these two to blame.
And by the way ladies, you're welcome to call in to our show ANYTIME to talk about...well...anything.
