2003 - Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks made the statement, "We're ashamed the President of the United States is from Texas," during a concert in London as the U.S. prepared for war in Iraq. Many radio stations stopped playing the Chicks music as a result.
2000 - Vince Gill and Amy Grant got married in Nashville.
1981 - Eddie Rabbitt's single "I Love a Rainy Night" was certified gold.
